Dear Friend,
As we draw close to the new year, our hearts turn to gratitude — thanking G‑d for the bounty and gifts He has bestowed upon us this past year, and turning to the Almighty to ask for His kindness and blessing in the year ahead.
In this same spirit, I am writing to ask for your help in continuing the Center's G‑dly mission: bringing spirit, warmth, and connection to so many.
When you gave to Richmond Torah Center – Chabad last year, you helped keep our doors open — and our community strong — every single day. Because of supporters like you, we held daily minyan for those saying Kaddish or simply seeking to start their day in prayer, welcomed dozens to daily Torah study, and filled our Shabbos programs and holiday events with the warmth and tradition that bring our community together.
Our impact on many of our neighbors and fellow Jewish travelers has been moving, helpful, and at times life-changing. Someone finding a warm meal and a kind face when they needed it most. A family getting support through a crisis they couldn't face alone. A traveler far from home, welcomed like family at our Shabbos table. These moments don't always make headlines, but they are the reason we do this work — and they happen because you make them possible.
As we enter this new year, the need is as real as ever. Behind our regular programming, we are also there for the moments that don't fit on a calendar — offering hospitality to those who need a warm meal or a place to belong, and stepping in for crisis intervention when a member of our community faces something they can't face alone. Your support keeps all of this running, quietly and reliably, every day of the year.
Here is what your gift could do:
$100 — Supporter
$250 — High Holiday Donation
$500 — Helps sustain a week of daily minyan and Torah study
$1,000 — The Festive Month of Tishri — supports our full slate of holiday programming through the season
$1,800 — Friendship Circle — funds High Holiday services and meals for our entire community
You have already shown that you believe in this work. As we ask the Almighty for blessing in the year ahead, please help us continue bringing that blessing to others — with a gift that is meaningful to you.
Every donation, in any amount, is gratefully acknowledged.
You can give online at rtchabad.org, or by mail to Richmond Torah Center – Chabad, 423 10th Avenue, San Francisco, CA 94118.
Thank you for everything you have already made possible. Every minyan, every Torah class, every Shabbos table, and every neighbor and traveler we have welcomed — you helped make that happen. May you and your family be inscribed for a good and sweet new year.
With gratitude,
Rabbi Ahron and Sara Hecht
