The holiday of Sukkot commemorates the
time when the Jewish nation left Egypt and
wandered in the desert for forty years.
|The clouds of glory which surrounded the
Jewish people on all sides were the only protection.
The holiday of Sukkot lasts for eight days.
We eat and drink in our Sukkah as we would
in our dining room.
For one week we live in G‑d's personal home.
(The Sukkah is a construction of four sides
with a leafy branch covering.)
